Cagayan de Oro City – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Regional Office X held a Turnover Ceremony on March 2, 2026, marking the formal transition of leadership from Outgoing Regional Director Abosamen H. Matuan, (link unavailable), to Incoming Regional Director Aljo Bendijo, J.D.
The ceremony recognized Director Matuan’s significant contributions to LTFRB Region X, whose tenure focused on institutional efficiency, stakeholder partnerships, and advancing key transportation programs. His leadership left a lasting impact on public transport regulation in Northern Mindanao.
Director Matuan’s achievements include strengthening collaborations with local government units and transport stakeholders, enhancing regulatory processes, and promoting safe and efficient public transportation services.

Incoming Director Bendijo expressed his commitment to continue the agency’s mission, emphasizing responsive governance, effective oversight, and improved services for commuters. He pledged to build on the foundation laid by his predecessor.
The turnover aligns with the administration’s vision of modernizing public transportation under the Bagong Pilipinas initiative. LTFRB Chairman Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II and Department of Transportation Secretary Giovanni Z. Lopez have directed the agency to maintain its focus on delivering safe, reliable, and modern transport services.
The ceremony was attended by officials from LTFRB Region X, transport stakeholders, and local government representatives, highlighting the agency’s collaborative approach to public transport regulation.
