PhilHealth Regional Vice President for Region 10, Mr. Delio Aserion II, recently visited Governor Juliette Uy to introduce the new PhilHealth program called “YAKAP”. This program is an enhanced primary care benefit package that provides free doctor consultations, laboratory tests, and cancer screening tests, as well as prescribed medications.
The program aims to help Misamis Oriental residents avoid unexpected medical expenses through early detection and preventive care. Governor Juliette Uy welcomed the initiative, saying it will allow the province to improve its medical services.
The governor also assured that the province will continue to improve its hospital facilities to ensure comfortable and efficient patient care. This initiative is just one of many steps being taken to promote public health in Misamis Oriental.
