Misamis Oriental Governor Juliette Uy is demonstrating her commitment to supporting the province’s young athletes, particularly Frisbee athlete Jeff Alexandra A. Sarsaba from Lugait. Sarsaba recently paid a courtesy call to Governor Uy, discussing her upcoming participation in the Asia-Oceanic Ultimate Championship in Kamisu City, Japan, scheduled for September 3-7.
The governor expressed her enthusiasm to support Sarsaba, who has already made a name for herself in the sports world. Sarsaba won her first international medal as part of the champion team in the Flying Disc Ultimate Championship in Hong Kong on July 6-7, 2025. She’s currently part of the Binibinis Ultimate, the women’s national ultimate Frisbee team.
Governor Uy believes that supporting young athletes like Sarsaba will greatly benefit their physical and mental well-being while bringing pride and honor to the province. This initiative aligns with her vision for inclusive governance and development, focusing on empowering the youth through sports and education.
