The recent State of the Nation Address (SONA) delivered by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.ignited a wave of skepticism. While the address was filled with lofty promises aimed at improving the nation’s welfare,The people are questioning the sincerity behind these declarations. Issues such as ghost flood projects, rampant criminality, drug-related problems, PhilHealth concerns, and widespread corruption have overthrown his commitments, leading to doubts about whether these pledges will materialize or remain mere sketch.

One of the most pressing concerns in the SONA is the existence of ghost flood projects—initiatives that exist solely on paper and fail to provide real relief to affected communities. The President’s promise to investigate those responsible for such fraudulent activities, critical questions remains about accountability within his administration. Will there be genuine consequences for those found culpable, or will this merely serve as a facade to placate public outrage? The public’s demand for transparency that action is louder than words as citizens grow weary of promises that seem to evaporate over time. As these problems become normalized within cabinet discussions and legislative actions, skepticism grows regarding whether any substantive changes will occur under his leadership. The public’s growing frustration and disappointments with political figures complicates trust in future promises.Mr.President the true rebels, thieves, manipulators are in your congress, the lower chamber and the House Speaker playing like a God who manipulates and motivates his constituents with bribery and power.

With past failures over his administration and ongoing challenges eroding public trust in governance, we the citizens of this Republic demands your attention to address these issues with transparency and accountability, ensuring that promises made are not just staged but are followed by decisive action and reliable results.
The saving grace of this administration will ultimately be measured not by the eloquence of its speeches, but by the concrete steps it takes to dismantle entrenched systems of corruption and inefficiency.
