Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa revealed that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has assured him that the Philippine government will not cooperate with the International Criminal Court (ICC).

However, when asked to confirm this statement, Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Cherie Castro said that this has not been discussed with the President. Castro clarified that Marcos has never mentioned non-cooperation with Interpol.

The statement comes amid recent developments in the ICC’s investigation into alleged human rights abuses in the Philippines.
