P28.8M SMUGGLED CIGARETTES, P3M ILLEGAL DRUGS SEIZED IN ONE WEEK OPERATION IN REGION 10

CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City – Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) successfully confiscated over PhP28 million worth of smuggled cigarettes and PhP3 million worth of illegal drugs during its one-week law enforcement operations across Northern Mindanao from January 16 to 22, 2025.

In anti-illegal drug campaign, PRO10 executed 48 operations that resulted in the arrest of 53 individuals and the confiscation of 482.625 grams of shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price of PhP3,281,850.00.

In anti-illegal gambling, 11 operations were conducted that resulted in the arrest of 22 individuals with a total confiscation of PhP8,522.00 illegal gambling items.
In the campaign against wanted persons, a total of 57 wanted individuals were apprehended, including 13 Most Wanted Persons and 44 Other Wanted Persons.

In the campaign against loose firearms (Kontra Boga), PRO10 conducted two operations, resulting in the arrest of three individuals and the confiscation/surrender/recovery of three small arms. Approximately 259 house visitations under Revitalized Katok (Bilang Boga) were conducted, resulting in the voluntary surrender of five firearms for safekeeping.

In its efforts to combat smuggling, PRO10 successfully conducted five operations, resulting in the arrest of five individuals and confiscation of approximately PhP28,831,800.00 worth of smuggled cigarettes.

PBGEN JAYSEN C DE GUZMAN, Regional Director, PRO10, commended the men and women of PRO10 for a job well done.

“Our unwavering commitment to the rule of law and the safety of our communities continues to drive our operations. We remain steadfast in our mission to uphold peace and order across Northern Mindanao,” he said.

PBGEN DE GUZMAN urged the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station. He also reassured the community of PRO10’s continuous efforts to maintain a safer and drug-free Northern Mindanao. ###
