TAYLOR Swift is a household name these days but until now, there has never been yet a diner here in Cagayan de Oro that is dedicated all to Taylor Swift. That has changed with the opening of Willow Café.
Taking its name from the singer’s single in the 2020 album Evermore, Willow Café is everything Taylor. In the walls of the café are plastered the album covers of Lover, Evermore, 1989 and Speak Now by renowned local mural artist Emmanuel Mulawan.
Blasting through the speakers in mellow volume are of course Taylor Swift’s melodies from all her studio albums since her self-titled 2006 debut up to the latest Midnights. The café itself can seat a total of 30 persons where they can discuss not just about Taylor Swift updates but also about anything under the sun.
Even their signature drinks are named after Taylor Swfit albums and songs themselves: Speak Now, 1989 and Lover. And their sodas are named after Taylor Swift songs: Red, Cruel Summer, Debut, Bad Blood.
Enjoy the rest of the beverages such as hot drinks (Americano, café latte, cappuccino, vanilla latte, mocha, Spanish latte, salted caramel, hazelnut, hot white choco mocha, espresso shot); iced (Americano, cappuccino, café latte, vanilla latte, mocha, salted caramel, hazelnut, Spanish latte, dirty matcha, white choco mocha with nata as add-on); and frappe.
Meanwhile, you can also quench your hunger and taste their delicious pastries: cakes (choco moist, ube, red velvet, carrot, blueberry cheesecake); revel bars; fudge brownies; sandwich; and ramen (cheesy mild or spicy).
Willow Café is open from Mondays to Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from Thursdays to Sundays at 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Willow Café is located at the corner of JR Borja and Tiano Sts., this city.
