Digihub-FabLab Davao, a fabrication laboratory facility for research and product development funded by the Department of Trade and Industry XI, Department of Science and Technology Xi, and the University of Southeastern Philippines, is collaborating with a non-profit organization based in Hanover, New Hampshire, United States named “Stand With Me” organization. The organization develops, produces, and distributes affordable therapeutic home-care devices for children and adults worldwide. One of their notable contributions is donating pediatric standing frames for children ages 3-7 years old with cerebral palsy.
The organization coordinated with Digihub-FabLab Davao to fabricate the standers on their behalf to cater to the children in need in the area.
Tebow CURE Hospital, a medical institution recognized for its specialization in treating orthopedic disabilities, is selected to be the beneficiary of the first two (2) standing frames fabricated as recommended by the Stand with Me organization. The stander helps children with cerebral palsy by supporting their weight, providing stability when in an upright position, and allowing them to stand for an extended period.
