Trans Asia fields new vessel for CDO-Tagbilaran route

M/V Trans-Asia 19, the first ever brand new vessel of the company is a ropax vessel with registered gross tonnage of 2,976 metric tons with a service speed of 14 knots. Built by Kegoya Dock Co., Ltd. in Kegoya, Japan, M/V Trans-Asia 19 is equipped with state-of-the-art modern equipment and advance safety features to include 2 ARPA radars, FURUNO Chart Plotter, FURUNO Automatic Identification System, Digital Echo Sounder with Shallow Water Alarm Facility, Global Positioning System, VHF Radio, MF/HF DSC Radio, Gyro Compass with 3 repeaters, Auto Pilot, Speed and Distance Indicator, Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System, Stewage Treatment Plant, Elevator, Sprinkler System and Ship Cargo Loading Calculator.

 

With accommodation choices from 2nd class non-aircon, Airconditioned reclining seats, Tourist, Tourist Deluxe and Private Rooms, M/V Trans-Asia 19 can accommodate 450 passengers.  Clinic Room, Information Counter and Starsy Shoppe convenience store are also available onboard.

 

Launching and inauguration of the new vessel is set to be done at Cagayan de Oro on March 2, 2019.

 

As the latest addition to the fleet, M/V Trans-Asia 19 is the 6thropax vessel of the company and counting.

 

Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Inc. currently operates 6 ropax, 6 cargo vessels and 1 LCT; serving a total of 11 ports in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao area.True to its mission of improving island economies, the company envisions to increase its fleet and modernize vessel resources.
