CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – A boxing analyst based in this city has predicted that boxing legend Manny Pacquiao will knockout Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugas before round 7 of their 12-round title bout.
Boxing analyst Insp Loloy Marban said although Pacquiao is already in his age but he still has that punching power which can knockout his opponent if the timing is right.
“My prediction is that there will be a knockout before the seven round. If the Cuban boxer survives round 7, it will be a TKO (technical knockout) after their 12-round bout ends,” said Marban over a local radio station here.
However, in other media interviews, Ugas challenged reports he will knockout by the Filipino boxing champ, adding that the ‘Pinoy’ boxer will not be able to knockout him out.
Another boxing analyst JM Siasat said the Cuban boxer is only a basic, consecutive fighter who lacks style and activity to win against the veteran and multi-awarded Manny Pacquiao.
“He fights in a straight line. He knows how to use his jab, he knows how to shoot his right straight, he knows how to keep distance. and that worked against much lesser fighters na di siya bibigyan ng angle kagaya ni Manny Pacquiao. Will that work against someone like Manny Pacquiao who has fought mas malalaki pa kay Ugas?” Siasat claimed.
