The Tangcub Summer Art Camp aims to discover and showcase the talents of young people from Tangcub, Libertad Misamis Oriental who love painting and music.
EdzonArt (Edzon Ubanan Dela Cruz), a talented local artist who was born in the said place but is currently residing in nearby City, Iligan. He started the camp and now he’s back and teamed up with supportive artists from Iligan and Cagayan de Oro Cities: Visual artists – Cling Vega, Lou Angelie Mulig, Michael Bacol, Nic Aca and musicians – Richie Saceda and Heidi Pogoy with Haring Gangis Band. They aim to guide and encourage the young artists to share their knowledge.
EdzonArt initiated this event and leads the group effort to make the camp a success. Through this, the community in Tangcub and whoever is interested can come together, share their love of art, and support the growth of new talents
This event, not only aims to showcase the artistic talents of young people but also serves as an outreach program in the community. By involving local artists and encouraging them to participate, the camp creates a sense of fellowship and camaraderie among the artists.
Subsequently, this aspires to add more life and excitement to the area and to let visitors discover the beauty of the place and its people.
