CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – No less than PEIL Executive Director Engr Ferdie Bernasor will grace the first ever Regional Orientation Seminar Institute (ROSEI) Summit 2021, that will be held today at Golden Stallion Suites in Cagayan de Oro City. Hundreds of its member-eagles are expected to join the activity.
The summit will be attended also by PEIL directors for 2020-2022, including Kuys Cesar Y. Yamuta, Leody C. Armada, Dexter E. Agustin, Rufus Caesar C. Moneva, Kuys Christian Miquiabas and Kuys John Rey A. Tomines.
PEIL stands for Philippine Eagles Institute of Leadership. It is considered as the Fraternal Order of Eagle’s educational arm and it will be responsible in holding educational seminars and continuing education for all it members in Mindanao and elsewhere in the country.
Aside from the summit which is a regular activity of the Fraternal Order of Eagles all over the country, the 2-day event will also comprise of PENACLE meeting, regional governor’s night at Grand Caprice Restaurant and Hotel. (first day)
The 2nd day will include the national assembly and national congress, as well as the Philippine Eagles’ night at the Atrium, Limketkai Mall, the biggest mall in Mindanao.
The incumbent president of this premier civic organization in the country, Eagle Conrado Cedeño and Eagle Governor Virgilio Candia, Jr, will be the national congress chairmen in this year’s national assembly.
The keynote speaker of the national congress of ‘Philippine Eagles’ are no other than Hon DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, while the character actor of Philippine movies, Eagle E.R. Ejercito, will be the guest speaker.
ENGR. Ferdie Bernasor, is the incumbent PEIL Executive Director and he was inducted a year ago and will serve for Eagle Year 2020-2022.
Prior to his present post as PEIL excutive director Bernasor was a charter president of Uptown CDO Eagles Club which is based here in Cagayan de Oro City.
The PEIL directors nationwide voted for him to become the PEIL executive director.
Engr Benasor’s induction ceremony then was attteded by members of PENAPLE, the organization of past presidents for TFOE-PE.
The historic induction of Bernasor also attended by the Fraternal Order of Eagles National President Conrado Cedeño, who facilitated Bernasor’s induction.
In an interview with the media, Benasor said “as part of PEIL, we want them to know what is leadership in Eagles. I want these participants to be future leaders of our fraternity.”
After the ceremony, the group proceeded to Golden Stallion Suites in barangay Nazareth to unveil Bernasor’s office courtesy of NMR-1 Gov. Jimmy Caiña.
Born in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Benasor got married and was blessed with three (3) siblings. He is a licensed Registered Electrical Engineer and is currently the Managing Director of MARMEELEC Construction Philippines, Inc. He has held various positions in various clubs construction and organizations like Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro wherein he was the President for the Rotary Year 2013-2014. He is also the current District Grand Lecturer of Masonic District RX Misamis Oriental and Cagayan de Oro of the Free and Accepted Mason of the Philippines. He is also a commodore of the Philippines Coast Guard Auxiliary and a lot more.
Bernasor became a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles (Philippine Eagles) in February 18, 1995 and has held various positions in the fraternity. Since then, he was appointed as the Assistant to the National Treasurer in Eagle Year 1996, National Executive Secretary in Eagle Year 1999, Secretary General/Ex-Officio PEIL Director in Eagle Year 2002 and 2003, Regional Governor for Northern Mindanao Region in Eagle Year 2004, Regional Assemblyman in Eagle Year 2006 and 2007, National Assemblyman in Eagle Year 2006 and 2007, Chartered Member and Board of Director of Cagayan de Oro Eagles Club in February 18, 1995, and become the Secretary in 1996, Treasurer in 1998, President in 2000, he is also the Chartered President of Uptown CDO Eagles Club in November 10, 2009.
Those are his achievements for the National, Regional and Club level. PEIL Director in Eagle Year 1998, 2007-2008, 2011-2012. Executive PEIL Director in Eagle Year 2008-2010, Senior PEIL Director in Eagle Year 2014-2015, 2016-2017, 2019-2020.
