MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)–Determined to fulfill the essence of establishing a local security group, members of the newly created Task Force Marawi have been directed to remain true to their mandate of safeguarding the land and its people against lawlessness.

The task force holds personnel from different security forces, including the Philippine Army, Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

1st Infantry “Tabak” Division Commanding Officer MGen. Antonio Nafarette emphasized that the composition of this body has been chosen to be part of the set quest according to their exemplary dedication to serve, innate courage in the face of adversity, and the individual quality of selfless service.

Believing that no task would be hard with unity and trust, he necessitated the troop to do its best through engaging all stakeholders in society.

“As your commander, I urge everyone to give your full commitment to our sworn duty. Maximize the whole-of-nation approach and remain steadfast in accomplishing our mission. I am confident that whatever is set to be accomplished will be achieved with everyone’s cooperation,” said Nafarette.

As such, he stressed the importance of communication and cooperation among everyone in their group as they take on the given challenge.

“We shall work as a team, with a clear focus on our mission, and with the utmost professionalism and integrity. We must be proactive in pursuing chances to share our skills and resources and learn from one another,” said Redosendo. (CRG/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
