TACURONG CITY – Four of the five suspects who gang-raped a 14-year-old minor were arrested by police operatives in this city.
Lt Colonel Joan Maganto told newsmen that four of the five suspects are now languishing at the City Jail, and formal charges of rape are waiting for them.
Col Maganto said one of the five suspects was the victim’s stepfather while four others were his friends and relatives.
Maganto revealed the suspects were notorious drug peddlers and users and four of them were all arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by her operatives.
Meanwhile, Leah (not her real name) revealed to the police’s women desk section that her stepfather had been molesting her ever since she was 12 years old. But she was only threatened by the suspect that he would kill her if she will tell her mother about the ‘rape,’ which occured everytime the suspect was under the influence of alcohol and illegal drugs.
Until the victim turned 14 year’s old she could no longer bear the ‘evils’ that her stepfather has been doing her because he already included four of his friends and relatives into continually molesting her.
The police office is now preparing to file separate charges of rape and illegal drugs against the five suspects.
