DEL PILAR, Cabadbaran City- In a spirit of reconciliation and camaraderie, 568 friends rescued and their dependents gathered at Alfranz Beach Resort, Brgy Caasinan, Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte for a joyous Christmas celebration on December 7, 2023.
Against the scenic backdrop of Alfranz Beach Resort, the Friends Rescued Christmas Party provided a platform for the community to come together, fostering goodwill and celebrating their freedom. A memorable day filled with laughter, warmth, and the spirit of the holiday season.
The Christmas celebration was attended by the Provincial Governor of Agusan del Norte, Hon. Ma. Angelica Rosedell M Amante who further emphasizes the significance of unity and peace.
“Hangyo lang gyud nako tagsa-tagsa sa inyo, niuban naman gyud ta balik sa gobyerno ayaw na intawon ninyo biyai ang gobyerno. Kamo na akong gisaligan nga proteksyonan ang atong komunidad nga wala na silay (NPA) laing pang matunto,” Amante said. (I am appealing to each of you, now that you have returned to the folds of the law, to not abandon the government again. I trust you to protect our community so they (NPA) can no longer deceive anyone.)
The presence of the Provincial Governor underscored the commitment of the government in rebuilding and strengthening the community fabric, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity and support for those who have chosen a path of peace.
