3rd CDO Veterans Volleyball Association League Tournament To Kick Off August 26-27
We started at Marcos Sports Center, now Pelaez Sports Center, the schools we came from are COC now COC-Phinma, CCC now CU, Xavier College, Liceo now Liceo Uni, and some are from Corpuz, Montessori, City High School, COBSAT and it is always divided into two groups. the gays and men…. also in wekends gov offces are our seniors and they are our trainers and coaches..
The mother of all players is ma’am Lerio who is very strict and focused. You’re not a volleyball player if you don’t know her. And our father of all athletes is none other than Mr Rody Dongallo, who is our regional and city director from Cagayan de Oro College, where coc is, likewise known, as the home of the champions.
Years passed and we graduated and have our own careers, the next generation are so different from us… that is why na wala ang sports center boys… one of the players who is younger than us.. call all the old players na maglaro kami ulit kc its 10 years na wala tayo. kitakita… There the 1st cdo veterans league started with 6 teams and we just played like we used to but (FRITZ GABRIEL RAMONAL OR “INANG”) suggested that why we do it, winner take it all..
“Yung tataya kami ng P50 at lahat na perang malikom ay mapunta sa champion team… This is a very generous and kind player who originally gathered us. is an agent in Toyota, walang batubili na sabi let’s make this yearly. and go higher. After a year covid came stop kahat and wala laro, then then govt declare we can okay out for.. that was 2021,we do the 2nd leg in Macasandig Covered Court. Ten teams are in… and we invited Davao, the team balibolista de davao head by coach Abet Bernan, is the head of Davao’s volleyball caliber team… the CEO of this org is Michael Jangao Crisostomo, from Sunrise Kauswagan, the youngest son and who graduated at Xavier and got his masters in Ateneo de Manila, and he always push us na gagawin itong session.”
“Kaya as an event organiser, I promised myself to do the best that I can do, we invited Iligan, Butuan, Bukidnon, Oroquieta, and Panaon. We became 12 teams competing in football. We compete in regional and palarong pambansa and national PRISAA. Miko is the cute nick name of our CEO, and he appointed me as chairperson and president, Gabe Ramonal or inang, Barbie Liendel, a transgender as our head of finance, Keith Francis Elleso, our auditor; Roger Mabaylan, Edward Maut, Totong Olarte and Manuel Montejo, liaison of Jet Fortaleza and Noel Waper, adviser Mr Bong Ramirez is our father in volleyball and coach of all time is our budget officer, and lastly Billy Noble, the canvasser and ads committee, They are the people who started it…”
This year is our launching of the new logo and making this org a legal organization and hoping that our lgu will hear our voices and look into our different situation.. This year is bolder, bigger, brighter, and we are so determined to say that we still have the legacy that we built, and it will remain as what we embarked to the heart of the spirits world. We are so blessed to all the coaches na buhay pa until now and very proud of the time molded us.
