PANABO, Davao del Norte – A school principal in Panabo City, Davao del Norte, will be facing criminal and administrative charges after the delivery driver sought the help of the Department of Education (DepEd) and the police authorities in this city.
Yesterday, the complainant delivery rider identified as Bluemar Bayarcal, has blottered at the police station what transpired during the delivery of item to the Revamonte family on Sunday morning.
In an interview with Newsline, Information Officer Lt Domingo Ranain said Mr Celestino Revamonte, Jr, the school principal of Narciso Galapin Elementary School, may face administrative and criminal charges, with a fine of at least P100,000 and imprisonment of not less than six years, if found guilty and convicted of the case.
“Sa kadto nga kaso pwede to siya ma-file-an ug “grave threats” Sa penalty nahulog na siya sa Arresto Menor,” the police officer said.
Meanwhile, the delivery rider has also sought the help of DepEd Panabo, and the disciplinary committee has already created a special team and currently investigating the ‘complaint of conduct unbecoming’ against the principal.
A show cause order has been sent to Mr Celestino Revamonte, Jr. to report to the DepEd and explain his side why shouldn’t be dealt with accordingly on the reported lapses on treating the delivery rider, and threatening to stab him.
The media also got the side of the beleaguered school principal but he said he will respect whatever the decision made by the DepEd investigating team.

Gacus said they have already conducted preliminary hearing and the DepEd disciplining committee advised to dig deeper into the case.
It can be recalled that on Sunday morning, delivery rider Gayarcal delivered the online order of the Revamonte Family. To their surprise, the item delivered was not the one ordered by the principal’s wife.
Gayarcal and Mrs Revamonte had an argument, and the wife wanted just get their money back, considering that the item delivered was a mistake.
The delivery rider explained that he is only a mere delivery boy of said item, and instead advised the wife to open a complaint at the e-commerce website of the company who send the wrong item, get a refund. Unfortunately, the Revamonte family has also failed to understand the recommendation of the delivery rider, until the principal got mad and threatened to stab the rider using a scissor.
