CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Rotary International District 3870 Governor-elect Gilda “Gigi” Go has appointed Roland Conrad C. Gurrea, Jr as new Assistant Governor for Zone 1 for RY 2023-2024.
“Meet ASSISTANT GOVERNOR ROLAND KONRAD C. GURREA JR. AG Macky served as President for the Rotary Club of Kalayaan Cagayan de Oro in 2020. He is the Owner/Proprietor of RAMTRADE CONSTRUCTION AND SUPPLY. He will be serving as Assistant Governor for Zone 1, RI District 3870,” DGE Go said.
She thanked the past president of the Rotary Club of Kalayaan, Cagayan de Oro. “Thank you AG Mack for accepting the appointment,” she adds.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Governor is an important role in Rotary and acts as a liaison between the district governor and the individual clubs within the district. The primary responsibility of the Assistant Governor is to assist and support the clubs in achieving their goals and objectives while upholding the principles and values of Rotary.
One of the key duties of an Assistant Governor is to provide guidance and support to the clubs within their assigned area. This includes visiting each club at least twice a year, attending club meetings and events, and providing feedback and advice on club activities and projects. The Assistant Governor also works closely with the club leadership to develop strategies and plans that will help the club grow and improve.
Another important responsibility of the Assistant Governor is to help the district governor with the implementation of district-wide programs and initiatives. This includes organizing and promoting events and activities that are designed to support the Rotary Foundation, increase membership, and raise awareness about Rotary’s mission and values.
The Assistant Governor is also responsible for ensuring that the clubs within their area are following Rotary’s rules and regulations. This includes monitoring club finances, ensuring compliance with Rotary’s bylaws, and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
In addition to these duties, the Assistant Governor also plays a key role in promoting Rotary’s mission and values to the wider community. This includes participating in community outreach initiatives, collaborating with other service organizations, and promoting the importance of ethical business practices and responsible citizenship.
