CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Council of Presidents of Rotary International District 3870 responded to the urgent call to help frontliners in the fight against the deadly coronavirus disease.
RI District 3870 Zone 1 Council of Presidents and their members, under the active leadership of Z1 Council Chairperson Rosalinda Caragos, donated boxes of alcohol, face masks and other vital shield and protective gears to prevent frontliners from virus infection.
It can be recalled that there were already 12 doctors in Metro Manila who have died after they were infected by the virus while in the call of duty.
The Rotarians’ donations were distributed to the frontliners of Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and JR Borja General Hospital (JRBGH).
NMMC is a regional hospital supported and run by the Department of Health, the lead agency in the battle against the deadly coronavirus disease, while JRBGH is a local hospital run by the City Government of Cagayan de Oro.
Meanwhile, Rotary International District 3870 is a prestigious and highly respected group of professionals and businessmen, who bond together despite their respective careers in business and profession, to do community service as one of the trusts of Rotary International.
RI District 3870 is composed of different clubs in Cagayan de Oro, Camiguin, Bukidnon, Maguindanao, Cotabato City, Gingoog City, Valencia City, Malaybalay City, Isulan, Tacurong and Pikit.
