CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: Unknown suspects robbed the Gaisano Mall in Butuan City and carted away P 4 million in cash and jewelries, a belated police report reaching here Wednesday said.
The report said that the suspects gained entry at the mall’s building by destroying the wall early dawn Monday.
Two unidentified suspects reportedly gained entry through the main entrance of the grocery stock room by destroying the mall’s concrete wall, a police report said.
Once inside the robbers, destroyed four safe boxes in the malls jewelry section and carted away P 2 million in cash and another P 2 million worth of assorted jewelries, an initial police report said.
The Butuan City Police Station 1 reported that the owner of the Gaisano’s chain of malls personally reported the incident to the police Monday morning.
The Manila Times contacted the Butuan City Police Station 1, but got a reply that the police were still making a follow up of the incident.
“The police were still conducting a probe of the incident and latest update about the case remained unavailable,” a police officer told The Manila Times. -0-
