Remains of four soldiers killed in plane crash arrived in CDO

CAMP EVANGELISTA: The remains of four more army soldiers who died in the ill-fated C-130 military plane crashed in Jolo,Sulo arrived here, the military said Saturday.

Maj. Francisco P. Garello, Jr., Spokesperson of the army’s  Fourth Infantry Division, said that the remains of the four soldiers arrived Friday afternoon at the  Lumbia airport in Cagayan de Oro City.
Garello identified the fatalities as Privates Erwin M Canton, PA, of Poblacion Sibagat, Agusan del Sur,Jhun Capagngan, PA, of  Poblacion, Mahinog, Camiguin, Mansueto B Linagtong, PA, of Cambuayon, Bacuag Surigao del Norte and Michael Dalore PA, of Brgy Sto Nino, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.
He said that the soldiers were accorded an arrival honors at the Lumbia airport before they were transported to the military camp here for a night’s vigil at the St. Ignatius de Loyola Chapel.
Garello said that the remains of the soldiers would be transported and escorted to their places of residence were they would also be accorded arrival military honors.
The other Philippine Army personnel who were identified and were already transported to places of residence were
Corporals Dexter E Estrada PA  – Paloyon, Nabua Camarines Sur, Gulam H Ismael PA  – 477, Reynel A Matundin PA, Katidtuan Kabacan, North Cotabato Asturias, Jolo, Sulu, Pfc Benjie S Malanog PA   – Tabuan, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur, and Pvt. Mansueto B Linagtong PA, Cambuayon, Bacuag Surigao del Norte. -0-
