MISAMIS ORIENTAL (PIA)–The Police Regional Office (PRO)-10 welcomed its new chief, PBGen Lawrence Baldan Coop as the new Regional Director of the Police Regional Office 10 during the Turn-over of Command Ceremony at Camp 1Lt Vicente G Alagar, Lapasan, here, August 16.
An arrival honor was accorded for the Incoming Regional Director and was presided by APC-Eastern Mindanao Acting Commander PMGen Patrick T Villacorte.
“In my assumption of office, I bring with me the standard orders from the Chief PNP to ensure the maintenance of peace and order and security in the region,” Coop shared.
Prior to his assumption as Regional Director in PRO10, PBGEN COOP was designated as Chief of Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies (SOCIA), Coop disclosed that will continue to implement the region’s campaign against illegal drugs, loose firearms, wanted persons, criminalities, and terrorism, while also making adjustments in their operational strategies in line with their agency’s “Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan equals Kaunlaran” program to further bolster the region’s security status and economic development.
Meanwhile, in his relinquishment of command, former PRO-10 Regional Director Benjamin Acorda Jr who will be reassigned to the Directorate of Intelligence in Manila expressed his gratitude to the men and women of PRO-10 for delivering exceptional service during his tenure.
“I was very confident that with the drive of intensity, cooperation, and professionalism, which the men and women of PRO-10 possess we would accomplish much and achieve greater heights, I was not mistaken, all our accomplishments and accolades we humbly dedicated to God and our constituents of Region 10,” Accorda said.
