Pompee sympathizes with Uy family on the killing of ‘Tawee”

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY MAYORAL aspirant Pompee Laviña sent his sympathy this morning to the Uy family on the killing of Roland Sherwin “Tawee” Uy, the eldest son of Laviña’s political rival and mayoralty bet Rep Rolando “Klarex” Uy.

Barangay Kagawad Tawee Uy, 45, was shot dead Thursday afternoon at the family’s quarry business in Barangay Pagatpat, this city. The still unidentified gunman shot him twice in the head, twice in the body and another two bullets in the other fatal points that killed Klarex’s eldest son.

The gunman also shot dead the family’s caretaker at the quarry site. Police authorities also identified him as a certain Samuel Pabalan, 67, and a resident of Carmen, this city.

Atong iampo pud sa ginoo nga hatagan ta ug kalinaw dinhi sa atong dakbayan kay peace and order ang importante,” said mayoralty bet Pompee Laviña during an interview with the media.

Laviña also to radio broadcasters in the city to be sensitive enough and avoid commentaries, and also understand the plight of the Uy family.

” Akong hangyo sa mga naa sa radyo, sa mga komentarista nga sensitibo ta sa nahitabo kang Conressman Klarex kay dili mana nato sila personal nga kontra, kaatbang lang sa politika. Ug atong sabton nga kita tanan tawo ug atong sabton and nahitabo kanila,” Pompee said.

Meanwhile, the police are still investigating and digging more information, and they are still “facing a blank wall” as to the main motive of killing Kag Sherwin Uy at the family’s quarry site.

The police admitted they are having difficulty identifying the motive of the killing as there were no witnesses who could have identified the suspects or the plate number of the motorcycle they were riding during their escape after killing Kag ‘Tawee’ and his caretaker.
