ILIGAN CITY (PIA)–The Iligan City Police Office (ICPO) is looking into improving police visibility in the hinterlands with the construction of a police station in Barangay Digkilaan.
ICPO station 3 chief of police PCpt. Ronald Angelo Rivel disclosed this during the turn-over ceremony of Rotary Club of Iligan Maria Cristina’s Project Kahinyas in Dulag Elementary School.
“Sa mga susunod na buwan ay uumpisahan na ang pagpapatayo ng bagong station sa Digkilaan,” he said.
[In the next few months, the construction of the new station in Digkilaan will begin.]
To be called Police Station 6, it will cover the whole hinterland barangays in the city as part of the commitment of the Philippine National Police to ensure security in the area together with the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
Rivel also told the residents of Dulag that ICPO is with them. He hoped that the residents will not think that they were forgotten.
“Sana sa mga kababayan natin dito sa Dulag, huwag niyo po sanang isipin na kaming mga kapulisan ay nakalimot sa inyo. Makakaasa kayo na kami sa ICPO ay iyong makakasama,” he said.
[I hope the people here in Dulag, will not think that the police have forgotten you. You can be assured that we at ICPO will be with you.]
The ICPO together with the 55th Engineer Brigade also provided transport vehicles in support of the community outreach program held in the school. (LELA/ PIA Iligan City)
