Senator Ping Lacson has officially filed his certificate of candidacy for president in the upcoming 2022 elections. He was joined by vice presidential running mate, Senate President Tito Sotto.
This move officially debunks fake news that has been circulating in provinces, saying that Lacson and Sotto are backing out of the national elections. To this, Lacson replies, “Laban kung laban, hindi susuko!”
In his speech at Sofitel Manila earlier today, Lacson reiterated his main battle cry, “Ang tama ay ipaglaban, ang mali ay labanan.” (“Fight for what is right, fight against what is wrong.”)
Lacson said that with his leadership, he will restore the trust of the Filipino people on the government.
“Panahon na upang maipanumbalik ang dignidad at respeto sa sarili ng bawat Pilipino sa loob at labas ng ating bansa. Kapag ang namumuno ay matino at nirerespeto, panalo ang pangkaraniwang Pilipino.”
(It is time to restore the dignity and self-respect of Filipinos around the world. When the leader is good and respected, it is a win for the ordinary Filipino.”
If Lacson wins the presidential elections, he promises to end corruption in the Philippines, improve the country’s pandemic response, and fight for our territorial rights on the West Philippine Sea.
