MISAMIS ORIENTAL – In spite of the growing COVID-19 cases in the country, the spread of the virus in Misamis Oriental remains under control, Provincial Governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano said Tuesday.
Emano disclosed that the Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force (PIATF) has recorded a total of 16 COVID-19 cases, including provincial government employees, in Misamis Oriental as of Tuesday.
However, Emano assured the public that there was no cause for alarm because the PIATF has effectively contained the spread of the COVID-19 in the province, especially in the provincial capitol building.
“We are strictly implementing the health protocols for all provincial employees, clients and visitors in the provincial capitol building here,” Emano said.
He said that the PIATF has required all individuals to wear face masks, face shields, social distancing and the washing of hands with disinfectants as an effective means to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus here. -0-
