PGLDN-PAO turnovers P10M worth of modern machineries to 35 beneficiaries

AT LEAST 35 beneficiaries of different cooperatives province of Lanao del Norte receives 10 million worth of modern machineries turn-over and distributed to them by the Provincial Agricultural Office (PAO) ,namely twenty-seven (27) corn clusters, seven (7) Rural Improvement Clubs (RICs), and one (1) Community Fish Landing Center

benefited from these modern machineries comprised of corn dehuskers with shellers, chorizo production equipment , and ice maker enhancing to imporve their farming techniques, Top Officials said.

In a turnover ceremony held at the Provincial Nursery Seed Farm in Kapatagan on Friday, March 24, 2023, Provincial Agriculturist reminded all recepients to take care of these grants from the Provincial Government for these are intended to boost the livelihood and income for all the members of their cooperatives and associations.

“Dili kini siya dapat ma personalized, kinahanglan mu serbisyo ni siya sa mga myembro,” PA Ditucalan said.

On behalf of Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo, Sangguniang Panlalawiga Member and Committee Chairman on Agriculture, Reinario Bihag graced the distribution activity and said, “Nakabalo gyud ta na dili gyud na si Gov mubalibad basta kabahin sa programa sa agrikultura kay nasayod si Gov na ang probinsya sa Lanao del Norte, halos kita tanan nanginabuhi diha sa panguma”

SSG Ivy Jaudian, a police officer and leader of the Maria Christina Womens Credit Cooperative, an RIC in Balo-i, felt a sense of responsibility along with being grateful for the agri-machinery that their organization received.

“Kay gidawat namo ni, naa mi responsibilidad na ipalambo ni, naa mi responsibilidad na magamit ni sa akong mga ka-organisasyon. Ang concept man gud sa atoa kay pag nasa agriculture pobre. Dili, naa sa agriculture ang bulawan, hago lang gyud siya. Mao na kami sa PNP, nalipay pud mi na muangat ang atoang panginabuhian pinaagi sa agriculture,” SSG Jaudian said.

PAO Ditucalan also lauded the efforts of her staff and the Municipal Agriculture Offices (MAOs) of each municipality for working hard in complying, evaluating, and validating the requirements and the preparation for the multi-million project. Likewise, she reminded all beneficiaries to become accountable for the project and be the government’s partners in attaining food security in the Province of Lanao del Norte.

The project was taken under the 20% Development Fund of Lanao del Norte under the Farm Mechanization Program of CY 2022.
