CAMP OSITO D BAHIAN, Malaybalay City – Peacemaker troopers headed by Colonel Michele B Anayron Jr, the Commander of 403 rd Infantry (Peacemaker) Brigade, Camp Osito Bahian, Malaybalay Bukidnon along with the personnel from different Battalions participated in the 5 th Philippine Visit of the Pilgrim Relic of St. Therese Child Jesus to the different parish church, monasteries and military camps within the Area of Responsibility of 403Bde on March 18-19, 2023 with the theme “Lakbay Tayo, St. Therese! Ka-Alagad, Kaibigan, Ka Misyon.”
Personnel from 88 th Infantry Battalion, 8 th Infantry Battalion, 403 rd Infantry Brigade all of 4 th Infantry Division, PA, 1 st Special Forces Battalion, Special Forces Regiment (Airborne) Philippine Army and 52 nd Engineering Brigade who served as Pall Bearer received the pilgrim relic from each station and together with the PNP ensure the safety and success of the activity. Along with the different LGUs, Parishioners and devotees headed by Father Leo Adapter joined the procession which subsequently followed by the mass and public veneration.
Mommy Letty as what other devotees call her said “Nalipay gayud ako ug maayu sa tabang sa Ginoo na nahimong malampuson ang pagduaw sa relic ni St. Therese of Child Jesus sa Bukidnon. Dako usab akuang pasalamat sa Army sa dako nilang tabang sa paghatag ug seguridad sa mga devotees ug nangunay pag aswat sa relic kauban sa PNP.” (“I am very happy with the help of our Almighty God that He made the visit of the relic of St. Therese of Child Jesus in Bukidnon a huge success.I am also thankful to Philippine Army for their great support in providing maximum security to all the devotees and served as Pall Bearers together with their PNP counterparts.”)
Meanwhile, Colonel Michele B Anayron Jr, the Commander of 403 rd Infantry Brigade said “St Therese is our Saint, she was said to have descended from Military Families, and it is an honor to serve her through our simple contribution in ensuring the safety of the devotees and served as Pall Bearer, yet this simple gesture of honoring her has a great impact to the devotees, especially to us uniformed men and women in the Military, for it will boost magnanimously our spirit.”
“In everyday of our lives, we need to have Divine interventions in anything we do. We in the military, with the nature of our work, dislocation of normal lives, away from family, work pressure and with great responsibility, trusting only ourselves will not give us the right mind in doing our daily tasks, we need God’s guidance to have a sound decision and presence of mind for the accomplishment of our mission for our country. Thus, this kind of activity will serve as an avenue to invigorate our spiritual aspect that will lead to an excellent mental health and boost our morale,” ended the Brigade Commander.
