PDEA-10 implements asset preservation order on Parojinog property

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)— The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-10 alongside the Philippine National Police (PNP)-10 and Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) held its Asset Preservation Order to the property of Nova Princess Parojinog at the Golden Glow North 2 Subdivision, here, July 25.

The frozen asset was subjected to the posting activity pursuant to the Asset Preservation Order (APO) dated January 3, 2018 after it was found that the property was made into a drug den during a buy-bust operation conducted by PDEA-10.

Crippling High-Value Targets.  The second of its kind in the region after the asset freezing order of Rico Bacon’s properties in Bulua last February 2021, PDEA Director General Villanueva disclosed that the freezing of the property is only one of their and AMLC’s ways to cripple apprehended high value drug personalities and prevent them from utilizing their assets for illegal activities again. (RDM/PIA-10)

“Dito natin makikita ang cooperation ng mga law enforcement agencies, ang PDEA, PNP, at ang pangunahing ahensya na nagpapatupad ng anti-money laundering, yung AMLC, ito ang pinakadulo ng ating investigation as far as implementation of anti-illegal drugs is concerned,” shared PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva.

(This kind of activity is where we can see the cooperation of our law enforcement agencies; the PDEA, PNP and our agency against anti-money laundering, the AMLC. This is the tail end of our investigation as far as implementation of anti-illegal drugs is concerned.)

Expressing support to PDEA-10’s Asset Preservation Order posting, Philippine Regional Police (PRO)-10 Regional Director Benjamin Acorda Jr. emphasized that despite the change of administration, the PRO-10 is still continuing its directives to fight criminality and is in full support of PDEA-10’s campaign to counter illegal drugs activity in northern Mindanao.
