PCSO LAUDS P2.2B MAP ASSISTANCE to 272,390 BENEFICIARIES FOR 2021

Mandaluyong City. PCSO Medical Access Program (MAP) bragged its accomplishment  feat by  providing a total amount of Php2,127,409,228.18 worth of assistance to 272,390 patient requests across the country for calendar year 2021, GM Garma announces.

The MAP covers various cases like confinement, hemodialysis, chemotheraphy, dialysis injection and medicines for hemophilia and post transplant patients. Confinement cases had a total of Php1,322,361,881.36 for 134,033 patients served. Hemodialysis cases with Php18,267,675.62 for 2,397 patients, chemotherapy cases with Php236,654,601.31 for 25,693 patients. Dialysis Injection cases totalled an amount of Php628,775,346.90 which helped 107,891 patients.  Hemophilia were given assistance amounting to Php2,618,786.34 for 293 patients and  Post-Transplant patients received assistance in the amount of Php19,840,955.66 for 2,083 individuals nationwide. Majority of the MAP requests came from NCR, Region III, Region IV-A and Region VI.

Despite the on and off operations of public and private institutions  in and around the country, PCSO was able to make a significant impact during the pandemic times, through its vast array of charity programs especially the MAP, to the marginalized and underprivileged citizens in the country.

PCSO officials and employees braved the pandemic even during the height of the pandemic notwithstanding the danger of contracting covid just to ensure continuous delivery of services to the public.

Undoubtedly, the MAP will remain the most popular health programs PCSO has created and developed catering both public and private institutions. Moving forward, the MAP have left its mark in the hearts of millions of Filipinos all over the country. GM Garma assures the public that PCSO will exert all efforts and explore all avenues on how to generate more revenues in order to sustain all its programs and serve the Filipino people.
