CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Rotary District 3870 Governor-elect Gilda “Gigi” Go has appointed Past Assistant Governor Ruth Ignacio as chairperson for Rotary Grants Management for Rotary Year 2023-2024.

“Meet PAG RUTH IGNACIO of the Rotary Club of Malaybalay. She will be District 3870’s DISTRICT CHAIR for GRANTS MANAGEMENT for Rotary year 2023-2024,” DGE Go said.

As a member of District 3870’s Rotary Foundation Committee, she will help clubs manage funding for their programs and grant projects. She will help qualify clubs and the district to participate in grants, help approve and allocate funding, and make sure that grant funds and resources are used properly.

Global grants support large international activities with sustainable, measurable outcomes in Rotary’s Areas of Focus. By working together to respond to real community needs, clubs and districts strengthen their global partnerships.
Global grants can fund:

– Humanitarian projects
– Scholarships for graduate-level academic studies
– Vocational training teams, which are groups of professionals who travel abroad either to teach local professionals about their field or to learn more about it themselves

“Thank you very much PAG Ruth! Your responsibility as DISTRICT CHAIR for GRANTS MANAGEMENT is very important so please accept my sincere appreciation for accepting the appointment,” DGE Go added.

PAG Ruth is the Director of Marywoods Academy, a pioneer leadership school in the Philippines. She is a Consultant, Facilitator, and Coach at FranklinCovey Philippines. ###
