PAG Jamalia Mutin is RI 3870 peace and conflict resolution chair

NEWLY installed Rotary International District 3870 governor Gilda “Gigi” Go has appointed past assistant governor Jamalia Mutin as the new district chair for peace and conflict resolution for RY 2023-2024.

As a humanitarian organization, peace is a cornerstone of Rotary’s mission. Rotary believes that when people work to create peace in their communities, that change can have a global effect.

Rotarians take action to address the underlying causes of conflict including poverty, discrimination, ethnic tension, lack of access to education and unequal distribution of resources by carrying out service projects and supporting peace fellowships and scholarships.

In RI 3870, these efforts will be led by no other than PAG Mutin. She belongs to Rotary Club of Metro Ranao and is a lawyer by profession.

With this new development, PAG Mutin will be part of the district leadership team overseeing 44 clubs in Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao, Camiguin and Cagayan de Oro City.

“With the help of PAG Jam, our District will strive to create an environment where peace can happen in our communities,” Go said. “Than you PAG Jam for accepting this assignment!”
