Pacquiao reveals why he wants to become president

SARANGANI – Eight division world champion and Senator Manny Pacquiao revealed the main reasons why he wanted to become president of the republic during an exclusive interview.

He said he wanted to eradicate the system of corruption and jail the corrupt politicians in the country.

“Duon ako sa tama. Ayaw kong maging trapo politician. Hindi naman pwede na porket kasama kita takpan ko na lang corruption na nangyayari sa bansa natin. Hindi ako ganun.”

(I am with the truth. I don’t want to side with traditional politicians. It does not mean that just because we are under the same party, I will cover up the corruption that’s been happening in the country. I’m not like that)

Senator Pacquiao said he wanted to stop the system of corruption that had already reached a very alarming level.

“If we cannot stop corruption maniwala ka 10 to 20 years from now mas lalo pang maghihirap ang bansa,” the senator said over Toni Talks host Tony Gonzaga.

The fighting senator also presented to the media, 6 of his 22 rounds of national agenda which will become his priority projects if he becomes President in 2022.

Fight Corruption

Senator Manny Pacquiao said if he wins president his top priority would be to fight corruption and jail corrupt politicians that contributed much to the very alarming situations of the country.

“In 2016, when I started my day as a senator, I have already investigated an 8 billion-peso road-right-of-way anomalous transactions in General Santos City. Hindi po tayo masisilaw ng salapi at ayaw natin ng corruption,” the Pacman said.

“Ipakulong natin lahat na involve sa corruption. Hangga’t nandito pa ako sa gobyerno bubuwagin natin lahat ang corruption, the Pacman warned.
