CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: A 26-year-old male suspect together with a female minor were busted in a P1 million illegal drug buy-bust in an uptown village here, the police said Friday.
Maj. Ivan Viñas, theJeffrey Estaño, 26, and a 16-year-old female minor (name withheld), both residents of Phase 1, Barangay Habitat, in Indahag, an uptown village of the city.
Viñas said that the suspects were detained by the raiding police team from police station 8 of Barangay Lumbia pending the filing of charges.
According to Viñas, the suspects were under xlose surveillance for the past ths in response to intelligence reports about the illegal drug trading in the area.
Recovered from the auspects were 150 grams of Shabu (Methamphetamine Hydrochloride) with an estimated street value of more rhan P 1million.
Viñas said that prior to the Indahag incident, the Lumbia police also busted about 600 grams of illegal Shabu worth P 4 million from a suspect identified as Jonel Curay, 26, of Barangay 26, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental.
