Oro Vice Mayor supports ‘Bida solusyon sa Covid-19’

CAGAYAN de Oro City–Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy is backing the “BIDA Solusyon Sa Covid-19” program, a strong and cohesive information campaign against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Department of Health (DOH), on behalf of the Interagency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF-EID) and in coordination with the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), is currently leading the implementation of the program which aims to encourage Filipino people to take an active role in the fight against the common enemy: COVID-19 (the “COntraVIDa).

The program emphasizes the need for the public to wear mask at all times, and educate the people on how to properly wear it. It also includes other non-pharmaceutical measures towards COVID-19, working as a regular reminder to take extra precautions at this time of pandemic.

The campaign promotes the active role of individuals in the fight against the virus by practicing the minimum health protocols simplified into four letters, B (Bawal walang mask), I (I-sanitize ang mga kamay, iwas-hawak sa mga bagay), D (Dumistansya ng isang metro), A (Alamin ang totoong impormasyon), The Gavel learned.

As this developed, Vice Mayor Uy enjoins Kagay-anons to apply the BIDA solution to fight Covid-19.

In line with this, Vice Mayor Uy and Councilor John Michael Seno on Wednesday warmly welcomed Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Jose Ruperto Martin Marfori Andanar to the city.Promoting the BIDA program, Secretary Andanar  turned over eight boxes of surgical masks to the vice mayor.
