Oaminal tops among Normin guvs, per RPMD survey

MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL (PIA)–Oaminal topped the recently concluded nationwide survey of the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) dubbed “Boses ng Bayan,” which assessed provincial governors and other public officials across the country.

The survey’s independent and non-commissioned findings unveiled Gov. Henry Oaminal of Misamis Occidental as the “Top Provincial Governor in Northern Mindanao Region” for the first quarter, earning a performance assessment score of 88.98%.

The comprehensive evaluation was based on various parameters to gauge the performance of provincial governors. These parameters include executive leadership, policy formulation, development planning, representation and diplomacy, crisis and disaster management, oversight and accountability, administrative management, and public service delivery.

Governor Imelda Q. Dimaporo of Lanao del Norte secured a striking second place, attaining a noteworthy performance rating of 86.31%. Following closely is Peter Unabia of Misamis Oriental, with a commendable rating of 83.67%.

Rogelio Niel Roque of Bukidnon exhibited commendable performance, securing the fourth rank with a solid score of 77.52%. Xavier Jesus Romualdo of Camiguin showcased remarkable capabilities, capturing the fifth spot with a respectable performance score of 75.34%.

Dr. Paul Martinez, executive director of RPMD, highlighted the significance of regular assessments in ensuring good governance, accountability, transparency, and effective resource management.

By working for the provinces and their residents’ best interests, the provincial governors create avenues for growth, improvement, and responsiveness to the needs of their constituents.

The “Top Provincial Governors of Region 10 (Northern Mindanao)” survey was conducted as part of the more extensive RPMD’s “Boses ng Bayan” national poll from February 25 to March 8, 2023. (RP-MDFI/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)
