Notorious IED expert, bomber and extortionist voiced in Army-PNP Operation

CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao del Norte – A notorious IED expert, bomber and extortionist of Al Kohbar and DI-Hassan Group was killed in the Joint Army-PNP Law Enforcement Operations launched in Barangay Salat, President Roxas, Cotabato this early Tuesday (January 17, 2023).

Lieutenant Colonel Rommel Mundala, 90th Infantry (Bigkis-Lahi) Battalion Commander, said the suspect identified as Jordan Akmad alias Jordan Kamad is of legal age with an arrest warrant in the cases of Murder and Multiple Frustrated Murder.

“The suspect is facing multiple charges because of the crimes he committed. Our counterpart at the President Roxas Municipal Police Station is now taking care of the suspect”, according to Lt. Col. Mundala.

According to 602nd Infantry Brigade Commander Colonel Donald Gumiran, the suspect was involved in the bombing incident in Kabacan, Cotabato and Ecoland Bus Terminal, Davao City. He is also with Ali Akbar, the leader of Al Khobar who was arrested on June 21, 2021 by virtue of an arrest warrant and as one of the masterminds in the bombing of the YBL Bus in Tulunan, Cotabato on January 27, 2021 and the burning of YBL Bus in M’Lang, Cotabato on June 3, 2021 that killed four (4) innocent civilians.

“Government forces will not stop arresting terrorists and other groups that hinder development, order and tranquility in our area”, said Col. Follow

Major General Roy Galido, Joint Task Force Central and 6ID Commander emphasized that the military is ready to support the police in following the mandate to serve and protect the people.

“JTFC were always ready to perform given task and supports the PNP in Joint Law Enforcement Operations in Central and South-Central Mindanao”, said Maj. Gen. Galido.
