MISAMIS ORIENTAL (PIA)—Ensuring the safety of the general public in northern Mindanao, the Police Regional Office (PRO)-10 has remained in full alert status in accordance with the Area Police Command-Eastern Mindanao to bolster security measures as a response to the bombing incident in South Cotabato, May 26.
PRO-10 Regional Director Benjamin Acorda Jr has directed the public to be vigilant to avert similar incidents in the region while assuring that the police in the region are fully committed to preventing potential threats to security.
“We are already on full alert status but this doesn’t mean we have to be frightened over the incident, let us stay calm and be extra vigilant in our surroundings,” Acorda shared.
Heightening Police presence in key entry points in the region and terminals, Acorda reminds the public to report immediately to the authorities any suspicious individuals or illegal activities in their locality.
“Inatasan din natin ang ating mga kapulisan na higpitan ang pagsagawa ng checkpoint along major thoroughfares para maiwasan ang mga ilegal na transactions,” he said.
