DPWH worker busted in illegal drug entrapment

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY - Local police collared a high value target (HVT) who reportedly sells “Shabu” (Methamphetamine Hydrochloride), an illegal drug substance, during a “buy bust” entrapment in the coastal village of Bonbon here, the police said Sunday.

 
Pol/Col. Henry G. Dampal, the City’s Chief of Police, identified the HVT suspect as Mark S. Ranullo, 37, married, a resident of Zone 5, Bonbon, Cagayan de Oro City.
 
Dampal said that Ranullo, an employee who holds a regular position with the DPWH regional office, has been an object of surveillance as among those listed as HVT suspects.
 
A law enforcer, posing as the buyer, arrested Ranullo who delivered the illegal Shabu in exchanged of the P 500.00 bill serving as “decoy” money Dampal said.
 
Seized from Ranullo were the P 500.00 bill, four pieces small elongated shape and two pieces medium square shape of alleged Shabu weighing 3 grams with an estimated street value of P 20,400.
 
Dampal said that the police has taken custody of Ranullo pending the filing of charges with violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the comprehensive anti-illegal drug act. -0-
