CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – A Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) federation chair, who was in 'hot water' for several weeks after he allegedly involved himself into indecent conversation with a college student, was freed by the City Council Wednesday.
This, after the City Council dropped the reported complaint filed against John Michael Seno. The council said it dropped the complaint against Seno for failure of the complainant to provide an affidavit requested by the committee.
"We gave her 10 days to provide a written complaint. But it's already beyond 10 days, it's near two months already but she didn't still submit the complaint," said Councilor Edgar Cabanlas, chairman of the committee of the whole, in a phone interview made by PNA.
He said the compainant would not be given a chance to submit her written complaint affidavit but she can appeal her case before the Office of the Ombudsman.
Meanwhile, the beleaguered City Councilor Seno maintained his stand that he had no bad intention during his exchange of conversation with the said student who accused him of indecent proposal.
"I wondered because there's a social media account where they deleted the conversation and only end (purposely cut) with the term 'hookup,' but there's a continuation to that. She asked, 'What do you mean?' and I said, 'Let's meet to know your friends so that I can connect.' I don't have bad intentions," he said.
Two councilors have objected the decion of the Cabanlas Committee tasked to investigatie Seno. They were opposition councilors Lordan Suan and Jocelyn Rodriguez. - with PNA report
