Misamis Oroental – A groundbreaking and capsule-laying ceremony marked the commencement of a road concreting project leading to Bolyok and Mahanggob Waterpark in Barangay Lubilan, Naawan, Misamis Oriental.
Representing Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” Unabia, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Member Dexter Yasay expressed full support for the project. This road concreting endeavor aims to improve accessibility to Bolyok and Mahanggob Waterpark, contributing to the overall development and prosperity of Barangay Lubilan and neighboring communities.
With funding of ₱57,480,495.84 secured by 2nd District Representative Congressman Yevgeny “Bambi” Emano from the Department of Tourism under Secretary Maria Esperanza Christina Frasco, this project underscores the importance of tourism development in driving economic growth and improving residents’ lives.
Naawan Municipal Mayor Dennis Roa also highlighted the significance of tourism in revitalizing the local economy and fostering community pride. Officials expressed gratitude to Secretary Frasco for supporting LGUs in developing and promoting tourism sites.
The event was attended by officials from the town, barangay, Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Tourism, and local functionaries.
