MISAMIS ORIENTAL – The provincial government of Misamis Oriental distributes 64 brand-new vehicles worth P118.5 million for the provincial capitol department heads Thursday.
Provincial Governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano hoped that the delivery of the new vehicles could fast track the basic services to the provincial people in the countryside.
“With all the logistics support and a new vehicle for mobility, the delivery of the basic services by each assigned department to the provincial constituents would be more effective and efficient,” Emano said during the turnover of the vehicles Thursday.
The provincial government has to purchase new vehicles because the vehicles assigned to the various departments were already old and defective.
The fleet of 64 brand-new vehicles consisted of 41 pickups and 23 VANs.
“These vehicles are owned by the people of Misamis Oriental because they allowed us to acquire the vehicles to efficiently serve them,” Emano said.
Prior to the turnover, the 169 assigned drivers and alternate drivers attended a two-day mandatory defensive and safety driving seminar on May 5-6 2021. -0-
