MISAMIS ORIENTAL – Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” M. Unabia of this province welcomed the “US VIP Tour” delegation during the welcome party held at the City Tourism Hall in Cagayan de Oro yesterday, July 25,2024.
The delegation coming from different states in the US will have a 3-day tour in Northern Mindanao to see the business potentials of the area in terms of tourism and other business potentials, most especially in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental, Gingoog City, Iligan and Bukidnon.
Speaking in behalf the governor, Board Member Gerardo Sabal III thanked all the delegates from Chicago, Florida, New York, Guam and Hawaii, for their interest in investing in Northern Mindanao.
“Maayong gabii nga puno sa paglaum kanatong tanan. Maayong pag abot dinhi sa syudad sa Cagayan de Oro ug sa probinsya sa Misamis Oriental,” Sabal reads the governor’s opening message.
Sabal added that the governor deeply appreciated the eagerness of Filipinos abroad and their American friends and spouses to invest in Northern Mindanao in terms of business and tourism.
The VIP Tour was an offshoot of the recent campaign of the province in New York City few months ago and showcased the cultural heritage of the province.
Aside from the Kuyamis presentation in the streets of New York, the team also presented to the chambers of commerce the tourism potentials of Misamis Oriental.
