Military exhumes bodyof NPA rebel in AgNor

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Government forces exhumed the body of a fallen communist rebel in a shallow grave in Agusan del Norte to allow the family to extend a decent burial.
A military report Tuesday identified the slain rebel as Elmer Delarmente Maisog alias @Ebok/Tawtaw, Vice Commanding Officer of Guerilla Front 16, Northeastern Military Regional Command (NEMRC), New People’s Army (NPA).

Lt. Rose Ann Mae U. Cordova, the Civil Military Officer of the army 29IB , said that the military and police exhumed the decomposing body of Maisog in the hinterland village of Maraiging in Jabonga, Agusan del Norte Monday.

Cordova said that the mikitary and pokice exhumed the body of Maisog, reportedly a resident of Bolhoon, a remote villxge of San Miguel, Surigao del Sur, to allow the family to provide a decent burial to the dead rebel. for the family to claim  

She said that a former rebel, known as “Dandan,” who surrendered four days ago led the military and the police to the shallow grave of Maisog who was left behind after an encounter with the state forces who were securing infrastructure projects in Agusan del Norte. -0-
