CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: Local police on Sunday issued a manhunt for the killers of an Israeli national who was gunned down outside of his rented apartment here.
Col. Aaron M. Mandia, the Cagayan de Oro Coty police chief, issued the order after the killers of Reuven Baranovitch, an Israel national, remained at large the past days.
Mandia said that the police were looking into the motive of the killing and were trying to contact the victim’s relatives who have yet to coordinate with the police.
“We were doing all possible means to identify the possible culprits in order for Baranovitch to get justice,” Mandia said in a statement released to the local press.
Baranovitch was reportedly engaged in a lending business until he and his live-in-partner part ways prompting Baranovitch to live alone in a rented apartment prior to the shooting incident. -0-
