DATU ODIN SINSUAT, Maguindanao – Mayor Cheryl Sinsuat of the municipality of Datu Odin Sinsuat, this province, has condemned the spate of killings that happened recently in her area of responsibility.
As chief executive of the local government of Datu Odin Sinsuat, the mayor offered a P50,000 bounty to whoever can provide information on the perpetrators of the series of shooting incidents.
In a statement sent to the media, Mayor Sinsuat urged the public to be vigilant and to secretly provide information to the police authorities, or to the local government, which can help solve the spate of killings in her town.
The mayor strongly said: “We do not and will not tolerate such acts that only challenge the justice system, mocks the rule of law, undermine the worth of human lives.”
Just recently, three residents have died in a series of shootings but the police are still ‘facing a blank wall’ on the identities of the killers.
Police authorities have identified those who were slain as Surab Benito Utto, Datu Qudzi Simpal and Babay Cabo Ungka. Utto was shot point blank in Dalican Poblacion on July 27; Babay Cabo Ungka in Barangay Broce on July 24; and Datu Simpal in Tamontaka also on July 27.
“We urge you to please contact the DOS-MPS (Datu Odin Sinsuat-Municipal Police Station) Hotline 09055814137,” Sinsuat said, adding that “It is our fervent hope that the circumstances surrounding their deaths are investigated thoroughly and that justice is ultimately served.” – (PNA)
