“OPLAN BIYAHENG AYOS: SEMANA SANTA 2021”
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, Regional Office 10 (LTFRB-10) has joined the preparations for the upcoming Lenten season, which started on March 26th, and will end on April 5, Easter Sunday.
“Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Semana Santa 2021” aims to coordinate with bus operators and passengers to make sure their travels are safe and sound.
In bus terminals in Northern Mindanao, under the stewardship of LTFRB-10 Regional Director Aminoden Guro, stricter implementation of IATF protocols such as the wearing of face masks, face shields, proper handwashing, and also social distancing are strictly observed and implemented inside the terminals, buses, and PUVs.
“We have already implemented our Oplan Biyaheng Ayos in preparation for the upcoming Holy Week. We have a team that regulary checks buses and other public utility vehicles, as well as checks on the proper implementation of minimum health standards,” says Director Guro in an interview with the local media here.
Guro said inspection teams were created to thoroughly check on the travel worthiness of buses and public utility vehicles and all other physical features included in the memo circular issued earlier by the Department of Transportation and Communications, (DoTR).
At Westbound Bulua Bus Terminal and Agora Bus Terminal on March 26, the LTFRB team inspected the whole terminal itself, buses, and public utlity vehicles. They have also put up Malasakit Help Desk.
Personnel in-charge during the day were Mohammad Hajam Sarip, Mohammad Nor Alim Datudacula, Camil Sangcopan, and Aminali Rauro.
The same tasks were also done by assigned personnel and inspection teams on March 27-30 and until April 4, 2021 in Iligan City, Ozamis City, and other areas covered by LTFRB Northern Mindanao.
