Lanao del Norte IMT appeals to APORs to observe protocols

ILIGAN CITY, Oct. 11 (PIA) – The Incident Management Team of the Lanao del Norte provincial government appealed to authorized persons outside of residence (APOR) to follow established health protocols.

“It doesn’t mean nga APOR sila (that they are APOR), they are immune to the virus,” said IMT commander Lyndon Calica.

According to him, 80 percent (%) of the index cases on local transmission in the province is caused by  APOR.

Calica explained that they are not strictly implementing the protocols to cause inconvenience to APORs but they are doing it for the people of Lanao del Norte.

“Pasayloa lang pud mi sa mga na offend sa among implementation (we apologize to those who were offended with our implementation) but we have to follow it because it is the ordinance,” he said.

The IMT commander added that there’s a proper venue should APORs want to question the provincial ordinance.

The IMT reported a total of 592 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of October 10 of which 117 are active, 470 have recovered, and five (5) have expired.  Of the total confirmed cases, 243 are local transmissions. (APB/PIA-ICIC)
