Labor Day Kadiwa earned P6.4 million

The President’s Spirit for Manggagawa earned over P6.4 million nationwide, with the National Capital Region (NCR) and Central Luzon each recording over P1 million in revenue.

Kadiwa in NCR recorded sales worth P1,009,903.24, held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City on April 30 and attended by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

Meanwhile, the Kadiwa outlets in Central Luzon that were built in San Jose Del Monte City in Bulacan; Angeles City in Pampanga; and Mariveles in Bataan, reported sales amounting to P1,009,056.15.

Other Kadiwa of the President for Manggagawa in Luzon recorded the following sales: Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) – P193,583.00; Ilocos Region – P464,769.00; Cagayan Valley Region – P302,418.00; CALABARZON – P137,654.00; and Bicol Region – P673,056.87.

Meanwhile, Kadiwa outlets in Visayas and Mindanao reported the following sales: Western Visayas – P214,838.00; Central Visayas – P636,362.00; Eastern Visayas – P472,296.75; Zamboanga Peninsula Region – P288,834.00; Northern Mindanao – P280,801.75; Davao Region – P147,436.00; SOCCSKSARGEN – P203,338.95; and Caraga – P555,756.57.

According to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the data is only up to May 2 and it is expected to increase with the arrival of sales reports from DOLE Regional Offices.

In celebration of Labor Day, DOLE set up 29 President’s Spirit for Workers outlets nationwide where Filipino workers were offered affordable and quality products from 606 businesses and 1,223 vendors.

Kadiwa has enabled farmers to sell their products directly to consumers without intermediaries so that they can earn more from it.
