CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Kagayhaan Eagle’s Club in cooperation with the Philippine Air Force turned over garbage bins recently to selected urban barangays in the city.
Aside from garbage bins, the group also conducted a feeding program and distributed school supplies to selected project beneficiaries in the same barangay.
One of the recipients of the said project was Barangay Iponan, and the project is continuing,
Alex Tuyor, Kagayhaan Eagle’s Club President said this worthwhile project of the club will continue to benefit more barangays in the future as the club also wants to help in the cleanliness drive of the barangay.
The feeding program will also benefit more malnourished children in the future purposely to help them get good nutrition again, which is very basic in their growing years. This is true with supporting them on their school supply needs.
“There are areas in the city that really need help and support not only from the local government unit (LGU) but also help from non-government organizations (NGOs).
For his part, incumbent Barangay Chairman Dondon Cabasa Allorin thanked the generosity of Kagayhaan Eagle’s Club for choosing Iponan as among the beneficiary of the project.
In October of 2020, Kagayhaan Eagles Club inducted 27 new members and the induction ceremony was guested by 1st Lt Jayson Tiania, operations officer of the Philippine Air Force’s 8th Air Reserve Center, based in Cagayan de Oro.
In his speech, Tiania said he was impressed with the amazing concept of the fraternal eagle. He challenged Kagayhaan members to continue their civic service to the community, most especially in these trying times of the pandemic. (JCE) ###
